Elephant Culture

Elephants have cultural and geographic significance in their native countries so keeping elephants in places like the Netherlands have a negative impact not only on them but also the countries they came from. I wanted to explore this complex relationship between Europe and the Elephant by creating a culturally relevant wearable object that allows people to feel; allowing the possibility of what might have been if the European experience of foreign animals such as the Elephant had been framed differently.
